Topic for 2019/20b: Topical Applications in Psychological Science: Students will read and discuss current research on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.), covering a range of psychological perspectives (Developmental, Personality, Social, Health) and will develop a research project to be conducted and analyzed in the second half of the semester. The goal will be to build on and extend existing research by surveying Vassar students and other populations about their own use of social media and how it intersects with their social and emotional well-being .
