ART 331 - Seminar in Northern Art Semester Offered: Fall 1 unit(s) Topic for 2017/18a: Master Printmakers: Dürer and Rembrandt. This seminar investigates the origins and development of printmaking and a European print culture during the Renaissance and Baroque periods, with primary focus on the medium’s greatest innovators: Albrecht Dürer and Rembrandt van Rijn. Student presentations center upon original engravings and etchings in the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center. The course includes one field trip to the Print Room at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
